What You Should Know About Weddings

Vania Miller | July 2021

What are your wedding expectations and how big or small does it has to be is the million-dollar question for many couples when planning for our big day!

Keeping it simple or complex should only be up to you and your husband-to-be, or at least that's my motto. At the end of the day, you are celebrating your own union. In our personal experience, neither of us, my husband nor I haven't witnessed a wedding preparation, but we realized how easy it can be, again, depending on your expectations.

We personally wanted something small, unique, and very natural-oriented. If this is what you are looking for, then keep reading and check out this "must-have checklist" and you'll realize how less cumbersome your big day could be!

Your must-have checklist should include:

  • Guest List.

  • Venue Selection (including food selection and ambiance decoration).

  • Wedding Date.

  • Selection Of Your Bridal Party.

  • Selection of Bride & Groom's attire.

  • Selection of Invitations and Wedding Favors. We got ideas from Etsy

  • Create a Wedding Website! It's free and simple to keep track of who is attending your wedding. The Knot was a lifesaver for us.

  • Wedding Registry, which can also be created through The Knot.

  • DJ or Create Your Own Music List? (YouTube Music and Spotify allow you to create a synced playlist on your phone or laptop which can then be played during your wedding. Keep in mind that there is a minimal monthly fee. However, you can cancel the subscription at any time).

As you can see, having this "must-have checklist" can help you plan for your big day in a streamlined way. This special day is all about you and your husband-to-be. Write down your expectations so it's clear to see what you need to meet your wedding goals.

Happy Wedding Planning!
